Here’s an example of a company that used social media the right way.  This March, VitaminWater will be releasing a new product cleverly titled, VitaminWater Connect, a black cherry-lime flavored drink that was chosen by the fans through VitaminWater’s Facebook fan page. Sales of this product could be a nice way to measure the ROI of investing in a social media campaign.  Take a look at the packaging, properly branded with the facebook logo.  Congrats, VitaminWater, you might have just started a trend.
